i was down in byron installing my new exhibition this afternoon at 'in annie's pocket'...had some wonderful chats with some beautiful ladies and i felt that all the hard work paid off (i was cross-stitching in the car on the way down!). here are some pics of some oldies and some newbies, there's plenty more to come as i had to be ruthless and only choose what i knew i could finish by today...taking more work down next weekend. i'm feeling so inspired right now and back where i want to be. the art tart is back. x

a creative mess and broken promises...
so i lied, i cannot NOT post this thought of the day from over at design is mine...it's sooooo relevant right now, and to my little house and to my life in general.
art is being made, cupcakes and brownies are being baked and i've rewarded myself with a little trip to the woolly antiques centre if i finish my baking by lunch. woo! have a lovely sunday.

last one...
this is the last post before i revamp my header, in prep for my new exhibition and the last post that features stuff other than my newly created collection. i'm throwing a few oldies into the mix/exhibition for some good measure and really having been so busy with all the baking, i haven't had the focus i wish i'd had for it. no worries though, art is coming and i feel so good about it. i have chosen these beautiful words because it seems fitting for how i feel right now. it's so hard to let go and i wonder if i really have to. i miss you today.

new exhibition...
my 2nd solo exhibition 'say it with cake' opens at 'in annie's pocket' in byron bay on saturday 27th february. due to the exhibition being a little too far south to ferry all my followers down there for an opening night, i ask you to venture down sometime in the 6 weeks following to check it all out. photos will of course be posted right here. a brisbane exhibition is also planned for the near future, will keep you posted. You can find it in the byron pier, 7 lawson street.
