saturday wanderings.

popped over to stevo's jumble sale this morning and picked myself up some treats. drove around to another church oppy soon after and found some delights there too. perfect start to what will be a busy day of baking cupcake orders and battling this stupid summer weather that is apparently already upon us. the sky is grey so i'm hoping we'll get some rain. then that may justify the mugs of tea i'm craving. come back winter...

delightful pyrex. love this design.

a little westminster platter..matches my other one!

embroidered coaster holder complete with coasters!

napkins, a floral pillowcase and some pink hued embroidery cottons.

small mixing bowls. not pyrex but equally as delicious. perfect colouring too.

a knitted jumper with embroidered roses and 2 floral long sleeved blouses (cute with jeans and flats in san fran) for $3. love.

could not leave this behind. although it's been so warm today i grabbed this blanket of delight because the colours are amazing. it's a double too and in perfect condition.

have a lovely weekend.

sweet stuff.

these little babies (pillowcases) arrived in my mailbox this morning. talk about making my monday. day off today so there's been some cake delivering, tea drinking and rummage sorting. kinda resisting the need to vacuum, so i'm posting photos on here instead. perfect.

it's such a wintery day outside today. light rain and dark skies are my favourite days to be inside. i am a winter girl at heart. i love the 16 or so layers i need to sleep warm at night. this means i get to use several of my favourite sheets and blankets..all at once! i'm having a yellow floral week ...next week i'll go pink and violet with my new arrivals. (the last photo shows my yellow bed linen (the most used) and the new addition, the sap green bed cover that takes me back to my nanna's house..minus the creases of course.)

floral love.

it's come to my attention after some afternoon studio cleaning...that i'm a fiend for florals. floral fabrics in particular. i have a bazillion. here are some treats from my collection. it's also kinda appropriate because i live on flower street. cute huh.

i'm not calling you a liar...

bright and beautiful floral sheet.

hankies and floral table runner. love the monogram.

fabric pieces, so nanna. love.

the flowers got me but my nanna was a fiend for bridge, so i had to get them.

someone (not mentioning any names) may have gone to her favourite little opshop this morning where her best friend volunteers just to say hi to her best friend and not look at anything. nothing. nada. so it was much to her surprise when this someone found some treats (for under $10) and decided to buy these treats and take them home. isn't that a beautiful story? the end. (ps. i said no more to antiquing right? not the opshopping..a girl's gotta have the opshopping. and there is definately not a sap green fabric bed cover (not pictured) in her washing machine right now.)

my gorgeous white picket fence.

my studio wallpaper.

just over 6 months ago i moved into a gorgeous 2 bedroom place in an older suburb of brisbane. i live alone and have never enjoyed playing house more than now. little arrangements of lovely finds with the only meaning being that 'it's pretty' and baking into the wee hours of the morning makes this experience even sweeter. I have space for a studio and a beautiful verandah and garden that i hope to exploit for many tea parties during the summer. these photos are from a while back and with a 3 day weekend coming up and some time to tidy and play, i will be posting some new photos soon. this will include some of my favourite collections and even one i hope to send into frankie very soon. have a wonderful friday my lovelies and i'll be popping by very soon to see you all. x
