christmas fun.

hello! hope you've all had a wonderful break full of love, family, friends and foooood. i spent the last few days with my beautiful sisters. a christmas morning skype call to mum & dad in san fran kicked off the day which was quickly followed by nutella filled croissants with a side of fruit and then a yummy buffet lunch in the air con! it's been so rainy and humid here in brisbane so plenty of fun was made with gingerbread house making, egg nog drinking and movie watching. a few games of mario kart on the snes were had too. i made some white christmas and my sister katie was the star of the show with her creations. her soy egg nog was deeeelicious! i hope everyone is feeling inspired to kick off 2011. so much planned..can't wait to share what i have in store and discover what you'll all be up to. much love going into the new year. xo

myer's decoration collection is amazing. i wanted it all. i think i'll have to go back after christmas and pick up some cheap treats. i might make an all year round bauble chandelier. my oven has started it's christmas baking too. first up, a small chrissie cupcake order. then it's white christmas tomorrow night. i was going to make baileys balls but i think it's going to be a bit more 'me drinking the baileys whilst baking' kinda behaviour. i've fallen under the snotty and sore throat spell so trying to keep my spirits high. this is nothing compared to what jane from my pear tree house is going through. sending her lots of love and best wishes at this time. happy last week before christmas all, i look forward to seeing what you're cooking up! more pics later this week.

look at what i picked up just the other day! a lady at work was selling off a few pieces of her retro furniture so when i saw this gem i had to get it. i've been wanting a display piece like this for like, ever. the same day my $3.51 roll of vintage wallpaper from ebay arrived, meant to be? i think so! i'll be wallpapering the inside very soon and it will live in my room right under the window, as seen below. as i have such pale skin and can't wear yellow, i think i channel my love for it through decorating. either way, being surrounded by yellow is just so lovely. i also received my 'moo cards', the cutest and prettiest business cards i ever did see. have a wonderful weekend all, i'm off to the nutcracker tonight, which should be lovely. happy saturday!

...with 'able and game', ashley goldberg & nook this week. I have been seeing 'able and game's' range everywhere i go and it still makes me giggle, everytime. popped into nook yesterday too and was delighted at what greeted me there. four words, I WANT IT ALL.

bubs, brownie & creme brulee tea.

a steamy & stormy saturday afternoon was spent celebrating the impending arrival of nadia's second little bub. her daughter, sofia, 18 months, is just divine. lots of cuddles and conversations (ok, just lots of playing with my fridge magnets and 'ta', but it was special none the less!) to last me a while. grandparents, little ones, friends, sludgy brownie bites and mint rose cupcakes made for a delightful afternoon. here are a few pics of the yummy delights we indulged in. i seriously love setting up these displays, and doing this for nadia was perfect, she's more than worthy of every spoonful of honey in her soy creme brulee tea. yum!

new treats & rummage.

i've been a busy bee this week superglueing, washing plates, drying plates, waiting for the super glue to dry and trying to pry my fingers apart from all the super glue that i somehow managed to get EVERYWHERE. fun times. anywho, managed to whip up some treat stands to display only the most delicious treats on. i'm hosting a baby shower this weekend coming, so i'll be whipping them out to hold my strawberry & vanilla friands, cucumber & cream cheese sandwiches, red velvet babycakes and raspberry brownies. yum! sold a few of the stands yesterday at rummage, which was a lovely surprise. spent a lovely sunday with my girls...trudy, sarah and morgan, aswell as trudy's mum louise and my mama too! she had a ball wandering the stalls, buying treasures. a rainy but very social sunday.
