heart & home.

the studio, when tidy.

my gorgeous white picket fence.

my lounge...pre housewarming.

my favourite painting yet. the bureau arrangements change weekly. now complete with deer, vases and gnomes.

my bedroom wallpaper and favourite little opshop find, painted by esme.

my studio wallpaper.

just over 6 months ago i moved into a gorgeous 2 bedroom place in an older suburb of brisbane. i live alone and have never enjoyed playing house more than now. little arrangements of lovely finds with the only meaning being that 'it's pretty' and baking into the wee hours of the morning makes this experience even sweeter. I have space for a studio and a beautiful verandah and garden that i hope to exploit for many tea parties during the summer. these photos are from a while back and with a 3 day weekend coming up and some time to tidy and play, i will be posting some new photos soon. this will include some of my favourite collections and even one i hope to send into frankie very soon. have a wonderful friday my lovelies and i'll be popping by very soon to see you all. x

It all looks lovely. I do like to look at other people's homes. Loving the wallpaper. Funnily enough, I've posted about wallpaper this week, however, mine is a little on the garish side!

I love your house, especially the picket fence with the tree growing through it!

Wow.....your place looks so lovely and inviting with a treasure trove of vintage wares. One of the good things about living on your own would be having free reign to decorate exactly how you want. Love. Love. Love. x

Hi Laura, love the retro table in your studio - so fantastic how it is in the middle of the room and not pushed up against a wall. Hope you have a great weekend. Michelle
p.s. I am having a little giveaway if you want to join in

I love it all but am super-impressed by the picket fence custom-built around the tree. I've never seen that before and how much cooler than mutilating the tree?
