cakes and jumble sales.

i feel like i've been baking for days and i still have more (an alice in wonderland birthday and the cafe's regular order) to do. I did however, find time to pop into a local jumble sale on my way to bank a cake cheque. picked up some lovely plates and frames. after the massive fabric haul last week, it's nice to have a week of crockery.

the bride wanted a butterfly themed top cake and 60 matching fondant cupcakes. i made white choc mudcakes, very tasty.

pink sugar flowers next to two silver butterflies.

a cluster of butterflies.
mini pink butterflies on smooth fondant tops.

'black velvet' staffordshire dinner plates.

closeup, love that crazing.

some noritake, japanese and johnson bros love.

a delicious pillowcase and lovely saucer that i'll use in my art.

staffordshire potteries, you spoil me.

some gorgeous frames and little frames i can make into necklaces, yum!
happy weekend all...
will be back with the other wedding order (140 rose buttercream cupcakes!) later in the weekend.
