a little quiet.

things have been a little quiet around my way this week. no internet at home (whoops for dropping my laptop and breaking the usb broadband) so i've had a lot of time with my thoughts and some time to potter in the studio. it's been lovely, but quiet. my beautiful friend trudy and her lovely boy tom are off tomorrow morning on an adventure of a lifetime. it will take them to europe for incredible travels and then to settle in rotterdam where they will no doubt make a beautiful life for themselves. having amazing people leave my side only reinstates just how much love i have in my life and just how fortunate i am to have them be part of it. i miss my mum and dad immensely and the feeling has only grown stronger, knowing we will be reunited in under 8 weeks time for a valuable 8 days. it makes me realise just how much i need these people in my life and to let them know they are the wheel that keeps me turning. you will no doubt grasp a slice of understanding when you see my artworks in a few weeks time. they are storyboards of my experiences, my treasures, my friends and my family. i am really enjoying creating them as they allow me to tap into this love at anytime, no matter where my loved ones go. my sister katie is a pillar of strength for me. i admire her more than she will EVER know, but that's ok...i will continue to remind her of her awesomeness. i will love you and leave you on this beautiful thursday morning. have a wonderful day, won't you? i'll be back on the weekend with some rummaging escapades.

pps. dreamt i had a pale turquoise 1965 beetle last night...still sad it's not a reality.

And I admire you more than YOU will ever know... or maybe we do know as we both admire each other equally as much?! I love you, I love us, I love our family! (I also love swimming with turtles and staying in condos on the beach in Hawaii). Xx
