making plans...

it's friday! seriously, finally. today seemed to go on forever..didn't it know i had a wonderful weekend to get underway?? been riding into work 4 days this week and i love it. riding in the cold makes me feel rejuvenated and alive. never a bad thing. chain came off on day one and i was saved by a wonderful man, on day two my bike got chatted up (you heard me...well she is turquoise, vintage and beautiful), day three was uneventful (kinda thankful) and then today - day four i got whistled at by a roadworker...come to think of it, he could have been whistling at my bike. i popped into the city tonight for some starbucks & sushi and a wander. i love my city at night. picked up a beeeeeautiful book that i had been gooogling at in typo for weeks. 'handmade weddings'...incredible. i've only flicked through briefly but i know for sure that i want to start my own wedding favour business. will whip up a few things and show you when i'm done. after four 5.30am starts this week, tomorrow will begin with a sleep-in, a yummy egg and bacon brekkie, a ride to the post office and a couple of local oppies and then some artmaking in the afternoon. can't wait. sunday will be spent down on the coast with my most favourite, who flies to london at 8am monday morning. i haven't begun to comprehend how much i will miss her. it was love at first sight and i have only grown to love her more throughout the years. i will be sharing some of our stories on monday after she departs. i will be seeing her next may, when i head to london to see my family. it will be like losing my right arm ( i paint and write with the left, so i'll keep that one) but i know she has so much to offer the world. she's the mary to my rhoda. happy weekend all! will be back tomorrow with some saturday behaviour.

I hope your friend has a safe trip! I have been considering riding my bike to work on sunday mornings for a while. But I live on an impossible hill, and is such a pain to push a bike up! Hope to see some wonderuful op-shop finds soon!
