spring has sprung.

hello! spring has arrived and so have the sweet finds that i've picked up lately. this week has been quiet and i haven't felt on top of my game, but after several weeks of constant artmaking (mostly through the night) it has taken me a while to get back into a regular sleep pattern and not feel quite so yucky. again, so much respect to the mothers out there. i don't know how you get through your days with minimal sleep and crying babies...you're amazing. i have a few plans for this weekend. a movie date, some fabric ferreting at a local church and some rummaging/art gallery wandering on sunday with a favourite mother of mine (not my mum, but my bestie's..she's the next best thing!) my 4 day birthday weekend is on the way and i have a bit of gold coast opping behaviour and vintage espresso lunching planned on my birthday, some morning tea action with my girls at dandelion & driftwood on the saturday and some sunny coast opping adventures with kate on the monday. should be delightful. here's to a wonderful weekend.

vintage sheet love and a cute teapot find.

a large mustard water jug. perfect for summer dinners.

a hawaii mug! how can i resist this?

a beautiful floral platter with gold accents. will become an artwork shortly!

ahhh bob ross mountain lovin'. it's a puzzle and parts of it will become part of a new artwork!

johnson cake plates make my heart beat faster, everytime.

it's true! a gorgeous vintage teatowel. perfect.

who doesn't love a bath towel with pansies?

the biggest floral sheet ever and a fun stripy pillowcase.

That tea pot is the bestest shaped teapot I have seen in a long while - and I love that bath towel. I have started collecting floral bath towels to make into bath mats. What day is your birthday?? I am excited for your birthday weekend - it sounds perfect! Mwah!

I am loving the little teapot! The trees are so lovely.
And you wouldn't believe I picked up an odd plate that looks exactly the same as your first johnson plate(on the left)! I have seen a few things around, especially when I was in Toowoomba last with those johnson patterns on.

Your birthday sounds heaven! And just how a birthday should be!! I'm seriously coveting those plates and I simply could not resist a pansy towel either. Wishing you a gorgeous weekend :)

my god laura, you either have the most amazing opshops in brisbane with the most fantastic treasures, or you have a seriously real eye for beautiful things. i'd say the last option (although the first one is possibly quite true too!). i like (envy?) every single thing you have found this week. i went opshopping too a couple of times...and found...nothing...!!
